Summary:
Prepares clear, complete and
accurate working plans and
detail drawings from rough
or detailed sketches or
notes by performing the
following duties.
Note:
Designers are expected to be
capable of producing both
mechanical and electrical
drawings
Essential
Duties and Responsibilities
include the following.
Other job-related duties may

Makes
sketches of proposed
drawing, checking dimension
of parts, materials to be
used, relation of one part
to another, and relation of
various parts to whole
structure or project. These
sketches are typically
produced on CAD, but may be
produced with pencil and
paper.
Utilizes
information provided by an
Engineer or Senior Designer
to complete drawings.
Makes any
adjustments or changes
necessary or desired.
Draws charts
for representation of
statistical data.
Draws
finished designs from
sketches.
Uses
computer assisted drafting
(CAD) equipment and
software, both 2D and 3D.
Establishes
and maintains drawing files
Observes and
complies with all the
provisions of the ISO 9000
QMS.
