Summary
Reviews drawings and specifications
to ensure that conflicts are
resolved. Ensures that Bills of
Material (BOM) reflect the
information in the drawings and are
complete and correct. Assembles
drawing and technical packages and
delivers them to the Integration
Supervisor and Quality Assurance
personnel. Reviews the packages with
Integration personnel, as required,
to resolve any issues and answer any
questions. Delivers the BOM to the
Supply Chain Supervisor and reviews
them, as required, to resolve any
issues and answer any questions.
Serves as a technical advisor to
Integration Department personnel.
Supervises Designers and Senior
Designers assigned to the
Manufacturing
Engineering/Configuration Management
function.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities
include the following. Other

Has demonstrated
competency in the duties and
responsibilities of a Senior
Designer:
Reviews drawings and
specifications to ensure that
conflicts are resolved.
Ensures that Bills
of Material (BOM) reflect the
information in the drawings and are
complete and correct.
Assembles drawing
and technical packages and delivers
them to the Integration Supervisor.
Reviews the packages
with Integration personnel, as
required, to resolve any issues and
answer any questions.
Delivers the BOM to
the Supply Chain Supervisor and
reviews them, as required, to
resolve any issues and answer any
questions.
Provides technical
assistance to ensure that
manufacturing, installation, and
operational testing conform to
functional specifications and
customer requirements.
Provides technical
assistance for maintenance, and
repair of equipment and systems in
field installations
Maintains drawing
files, BOMs, and related
information. Ensures that they
remain current and accurate
Uses computer
assisted engineering and design
software and equipment to perform
engineering tasks
Provides technical
information and assistance for the
production of manuals
Observes and
complies with all the provisions of
the ISO 9000 QMS
Oversees. and
assists the data entry of BOMs into
the MRP system (part numbers,
specifications, current revision
levels, etc.)
Supervises Designers
and Senior Designers assigned to the
Manufacturing
Engineering/Configuration Management
function and managing their work to
ensure that assigned tasks are
completed on time, within budget,
and is of the required quality.
Is capable of
training and mentoring Senior
Designers, and Designers and
participates in their ongoing
development.

Education and/or
Experience
Bachelor's degree
(B. A.) from four-year college or
university and two year's related
experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education
and experience.
